Redbull Soapbox Race starts at 10am
Cars and speed – again, a hit with my boys. And it sounds like there will be some funny sites – so they’ll love this!
This unique non-motorized racing event challenges both experienced racers and amateurs alike to design and build outrageous, human-powered soapbox dream machines and compete against the clock in a downhill race. Past cars have included a piano, a baby carriage, a rodeo clown, a massive cob of corn, a jail cell and the Golden Gate Bridge. http://www.redbullsoapboxusa.com/
3rd Annual Fire Station 13 Open House & Fundraiser
10am – 3pm
My kids love, love, love firetrucks – so this will be a hit!
Come enjoy live music, hot dogs and cold drinks, a tour of the fire station, fire safety tips and a silent auction. The kids will enjoy pictures with the fire fighters and fire engines, face painting and games. No cost to attend. All proceeds benefit East Atlanta Fire Station 13 and its fire fighters.

2nd Sunday Funday at the High 1pm – 4pm
This is not a free event – however, if you purchase a family membership, this monthly event (among others) is included which gives you a good return on the investment. You may even get a good date night out of it J.
Every second Sunday of the month from 1 to 4 p.m. at the High families can enjoy artist demonstrations, art-making workshops and live performances. This month the children can see the Talladega murals and then create their own mini mural and Woodruff-inspired landscape painting.
